About The Position

The Team Lead is directly responsible for merchandise flow, from receiving donations to merchandising the sales floor. He or she will be a subject matter expert in pricing and point of sale and will be cross-trained in all areas of the production and retail environment to include, but not limited to, proving excellent customer service, ash-handling, receiving and processing donated goods, pricing, and stocking. The Team Lead will oversee processing in assigned areas, provide direction and guidance to other team members, and provide shift oversight when management is off-site. The Team Lead will serve as the subject matter expert within one of the nine specialization areas listed below, with the ability to support the other areas as operational needs require. Bric-a-brac: This role oversees daily operations in the bric-a-brac (housewares, antiques, toys, etc.) department, supports team members, and ensures tasks are completed efficiently. They serve as the subject matter expert for this area, providing guidance and support to maintain organization, productivity, and positive customer experience while keeping their department stocked and running smoothly. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist with the receiving, processing, and final sale of donated goods.
  • Process goods from raw donations through efficient processes to sellable merchandise.
  • Sort, evaluate, and price donated goods, and provide oversight of the process in assigned area.
  • Monitor inventory levels on sales floor, stocking and merchandising as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer services on the sales floor and the donation receiving area.
  • Ensure an enjoyable shopping experience and efficient check-outs; promote round-ups.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other team leads and management to accomplish the mission.
  • Responsible for process management including pricing and sales rotation coordination.
  • Responsible for quality control, efficiency, and safety and security of assigned area.
  • Provide direction and guidance to associates, in accordance with management.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to guests in the Job Training Program and help assess their progression through job skills.
  • Coordinate with volunteers and help provide orientation and training.
  • Assist management with all duties assigned.
  • Provide support, advisement, and decision-making to store management.
  • Provide shift oversight when management if off-site.
  • Help monitor and assist with store security and safety.
