About The Position

In this function, you will: Drive improvements in Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI). Prepare a daily plan prior to the afternoon tier meeting. Lead tier meetings and keep the tier board updated with current information. Regular coordination with department Supervisors on priorities. Reallocate associates based on need. Work closely with supervisors to resolve issues and follow-up on preventative and corrective actions. Assist employees with technical or process issues such as inventory discrepancies, information, drawings, and procedures. Perform critical jobs or tasks to cover manning shortages as needed. Ensure that the appropriate equipment and tools are provided, adequately maintained, and safely operated. Act as a backup in the absence of the supervisor. Assist in new hire onboarding. Attend leadership training sessions. Work closely with Quality technicians to ensure all products meet requirements. Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous production experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English
  • Able to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with little advanced notice
  • Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift
  • Able to regularly lift 35 pounds witth or without reasonable accommodation
  • Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with assistance
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before small groups of employees
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to perform most functions of SAP related to production

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ months of leadership experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
