About The Position

The Team Lead, Turret oversees the daily objectives set by the Operations Supervisor and ensures that daily department work volumes are completed. This role contributes to a work team environment and interfaces with employees and customers. The Team Lead is responsible for assuring associates maintain good manufacturing practices (GMP) and adhere to product specifications. Extreme attention to detail is required to perform this job successfully, performing each essential duty satisfactorily. The position requires the individual to meet specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

  • General warehouse experience
  • Knowledge of WMS
  • Good computer skills
  • Forklift Certification
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to physically count, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

  • Past Customer Services experience

Responsibilities

  • Organize production by reviewing, planning, and allocating orders.
  • Schedule transportation appointments with various carriers, trucking companies and Freight Forwarders for pick up/ delivery times as well as receipt of client’s returns and inbound warehoused freight.
  • Maintain quality by following good manufacturing practices (GMPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Document production by completing end of day reports and updating inventories.
  • Have a thorough understanding of all department processes and be able to train others in all aspects of processes, policies and procedures.
  • Work with Supervisor to ensure implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Lead their team in accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to the department.
  • Maintain production standards by monitoring work execution to assure that only authorized and trained processes are being used, including proper use of equipment.
  • Operate a forklift as needed to assist with loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or heavy power operated equipment, such as a Forklift, Order Picker, Reach Truck, Dock Stocker Forklift, Power Operated Pallet Jack, and/or Turret.
  • Cross train in additional duties as needed.
  • Lead and direct associates daily.
