About The Position

This position provides guidance and serves as the lead in daily activities of this department. Assists in the supervision of patient flow from point of entry to ensure timely, accurate and professional service. Monitors workflow, quality, and performance and provides direction, guidance and oversight in accordance to policies and procedures. Recognizes improvement opportunities, helps to implement solutions and handles complex or unresolved issues. Leads the team in assuring patient experience is of highest priority. Oversees the Responsibilities of Patient Associate in completing all job duties This position monitors operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities as required. Participates in all infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety and fire safety programs. Oversees Orders, distributes and maintains designated and appropriate inventory of department related supplies. This position works closely with team and all appropriate supervisors and/or managers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required
  • Two years of leadership experience or four years of experience in Rehabilitation Services or similar job duties (patient registration, insurance, scheduling) required
  • Requires high level of interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Requires the ability to promote teamwork and develop team members
  • Requires knowledge and understanding of hospital policies and procedures
  • Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives
  • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings
  • Requires expert knowledge of rehab services requirements and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree is preferred
