About The Position

Team Lead, Quality Control & Processing serves as the daily workflow and quality lead for the loan processing and QC function. This role ensures that loans are documented, reviewed, and stored in accordance with company procedures, standards, and policies. This is a working team lead role—responsible for guiding team productivity, providing day‑to‑day direction, and also performing hands‑on processing and quality control activities as needed to support department workflow and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Detailed oriented/Excellent Organization and Time Management skills.
  • Work independently, manage multiple priorities, ability to solve problems.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency and ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Laser Pro mortgage documents experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point person for daily workflow direction and task coordination within the QC & Processing team.
  • Provide guidance, informal coaching, and on‑the‑job support to processors and QC specialists; assist with on-boarding and skill development.
  • Monitor workload distribution and help escalate issues or resource constraints as needed.
  • Promote consistency in application of policies, procedures, and documentation standards across the team.
  • Perform final quality control review on loan files, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and validate title work, lien positions, closing instructions, commitment letters, and loan documentation; ensure the company’s position is properly protected.
  • Authorize funding approval when applicable and verify all conditions and documentation standards are met.
  • Support the loan onboarding process, custodial file preparation, and post‑closing documentation tracking including recorded documents and title policies.
  • Step in to perform processor and quality control responsibilities when volume, staffing, or deadlines require additional support.
  • Assist with collection of stipulations, communication with internal/external stakeholders, and file movement through commitment‑to‑closing.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround time.
