More about us: https://www.hach.com/about-us The Powders Packaging Production Lead is responsible for supporting daily operational performance, driving process consistency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the Powders department. This role ensures adherence to standardized work, maintains strong communication across cross-functional partners, and proactively identifies opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. The Powders Lead serves as a key resource to both associates and management by coordinating workflow, resolving issues in real time, and ensuring that production plans and material needs are fully supported to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 2-3 years of leadership experience.
  • Preferred 3 years in a production environment.
  • Preferred 1 year of material handling or related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, investigate, and resolve production bottlenecks, material flow issues, or process failures. Implement countermeasures or escalate concerns promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Act as a first-line resource for troubleshooting equipment, workflow challenges, and quality issues.
  • Ensure daily management boards, KPIs, and visual controls are updated and utilized to drive effective decision-making.
  • Support the Area Manager by coordinating and aligning daily tasks, adjusting priorities as needed, and partnering closely with Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and other support teams to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted workflow.
  • Monitor workload, takt time, and schedule attainment, intervening when needed to recover or protect the plan.
  • Support Kanban flow, inventory accuracy, and waste reduction through Lean tools and daily process monitoring.
  • Provide real-time coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Develop and maintain a flexible workforce capable of supporting multiple production lines and processes.
