About The Position

Team Lead Purpose The Team Lead supports daily production operations by guiding and coordinating a team of manufacturing employees to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals. This role helps ensure that work flows smoothly, problems are addressed quickly, and team members have the tools and direction they need to succeed. Lead Responsibilities A Team Lead at Bellmont Cabinet Company provides guidance so team members can complete tasks accurately, efficiently, and safely. Serving as a key resource, they answer questions, offer insight, and organize responsibilities while modeling Bellmont’s Core Values and ensuring company policies and safety standards are followed. They consistently communicate with their supervisor to stay aligned on priorities, share concerns, and address issues promptly, helping keep operations smooth and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and leadership qualities required.
  • Minimum 1 year of Bellmont experience preferred; warehouse or production environment experience required.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
  • Consistent attention to detail with accurate counts and discrepancy resolution.
  • Proven problem-solving ability in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and ability to promote safe practices.
  • Effective time-management skills to prioritize and meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory systems and reporting.
  • Experience mentoring or training team members.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to improve the skill set and productivity of the team.
  • Inspire team members by modeling a positive, solution-focused attitude.
  • Enforce quality standards and verify job accuracy to maintain production flow.
  • Lead/participate in daily standowns to share updates, safety reminders, and production targets.
  • Monitor, control, and communicate production needs, identifying and addressing potential doomed orders to get ship dates back on track.
  • Clearly define job assignments within the department to meet goals.
  • Support cross-training so team members can fill multiple roles during absences or peak demand.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements and notify the Department Supervisor of employee-related issues when necessary.
  • Follow routine maintenance schedules for department equipment and alert maintenance of hazards.
  • Drive team accountability for maintaining a well-organized and clutter-free workspace.
  • Update and track key metrics hourly to ensure the team stays on track to meet production goals.
  • Maintains job status and completion records with minimal discrepancies.
  • Meets or exceeds daily/weekly production goals as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
  • Identifies root causes of quality and production concerns and implements corrective actions promptly.
  • Suggests and helps implement process improvements that increase accuracy or reduce waste.
  • Communicates clearly with team members, supervisors, and cross-departments.
  • Provides clear direction and coaching to team members and trains new employees on processes and Bellmont systems.
  • Supports building a cross-trained team that can adapt to absences and demand spikes.
  • Proactively monitors internal shop app and adjusts workflow as needed to meet changing demands.
  • Models safe work practices and enforces Bellmont safety standards.
  • Demonstrates calm, effective decision-making under pressure.
