About The Position

The Distribution Planning Lead is a role that provides the workflow to the operations team. The Planning Lead works closely with the management team to hold operations accountable for productivity, accuracy, and process. The Planning lead also is responsible root cause analysis for any orders that do not ship within the desired lead time.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years relevant work experience.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written)
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by Leadership
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel
  • Self-Starter; team player

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems)
  • SAP experience

Responsibilities

  • Releases work/orders to the floor based on priorities given from leadership
  • Analyze error log, resolve issues and report out issues that cannot be resolved
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues to ensure on time shipping and delivery
  • Investigates inventory discrepancy for root cause
  • Helps coach and train new associates
  • Works closely with leadership team to expedite high priority orders and ensure accuracy
  • Analyzes WIP report to ensure orders are released in a timely manner and follows up with operations team to make sure they ship on time
  • Subject matter expert for WIP report
  • Releases replenishments and works with operations team to ensure staffing is appropriate
  • Creates sense of urgency for the team in order to meet forecasted requirements
  • Completes projects as assigned
  • Works in operation to support at certain times on Friday and Sunday and also when there is no work to do in Simulation.
