About The Position

The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator will enter data for shipping/receiving order and work with internal and external customers to resolve issues related to invoicing shipping and on hand counts in the warehouse. Evaluate shipments for adherence to all state, federal and global restrictions. Serve as a resource manager system (SAP) expert on the team. Schedule transportation for truckload and less than truckload shipments. Assist the department in loading/unloading of truck, scanning and tagging as needed. Adhere to environmental, health, safety rules and regulations. Provide process and safety improvement ideas. Use the principles of 5S+ to ensure a clean and organized work area. You will drive and maintain forklifts through daily inspection checklists and perform 5S+ housekeeping duties as necessary

Requirements

  • One year of experience in logistics or warehouse environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution
  • Ability to follow procedures and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and bend frequently
