About The Position

We are interested in building a diverse group of community faculty with experience in sexual and gender health, sex therapy, sexual health education, and human sexuality who are passionate about educating future leaders in the sexual health field. The College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) seeks candidates as community faculty for the online Master of Professional Studies in Sexual Health and its affiliated graduate certificates in Advanced Sexual Health Education, Sex Therapy, Transgender and Gender Diverse Health, and Human Sexuality. The Sexual Health programs are professional, graduate-level credentials which focus on preparing students with a comprehensive and intersectional bio-pyscho-social perspective to support their individual goals as future sexuality educators, therapists, or advocates, or to complement their current careers in the health, education, and the helping professions. We particularly welcome applications from individuals who are AASECT certified Sexuality Educators, Sexuality Counselors, and/or Sex Therapists, and/or AASECT approved Supervisors in those areas. Teaching Specialists report to the Director of Graduate Programs in CCAPS, and typically teach one to two courses during the academic year. Courses are typically offered online, asynchronous, in 7 or 14 week sessions. Some synchronous meetings with students may be required throughout the term. The search committee will review applications as program needs arise throughout the year. Candidates will only be contacted for an interview if there is a course available. Are you excited about this job and meet the required qualifications, but your past experience does not align perfectly with every preferred qualification? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. If this is you, we strongly encourage you to apply because you just may be the right candidate for this role.
