The Department of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) invites applications for a full-time teaching faculty position. This is a 9-month instructional academic staff position with the possibility of additional paid teaching opportunities over the summer. The position will be on a yearly renewable contract, and its salary range is $30,355 – $46,555 with full benefits. This is a probationary academic staff position with potential for indefinite status in the sixth year. The successful applicant will be able to teach various undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Political Science, Introduction to Comparative Politics, and upper-level courses in International Relations and/or Comparative Politics. The standard teaching load will be four classes per semester [There is a maximum of three unique course preparations per semester]. It is expected that the successful candidate will start in Fall 2026. The successful applicant will be able to teach various undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Political Science, Introduction to Comparative Politics, and upper-level courses in International Relations and/or Comparative Politics.
