About The Position

The Sam M. Walton College of Business invites applications for a non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics. This 9-month teaching professor position has a four-course teaching requirement each semester (12 credit hours per semester), with a potential mix of face-to-face and online courses, as needed. Teaching responsibilities for this position will involve a mix of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Econometrics courses at the undergraduate level. The expected start date for the position is August 10, 2026. The appointment is potentially renewable and the salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. This is an in-person position. Most University classes are offered face-to-face and this role requires regular on-campus presence to support high-quality instruction and student learning. Participation in selected departmental or programmatic activities that advance teaching quality and student success is also expected, consistent with the responsibilities of non-tenure track faculty as defined by the academic department.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Economics (not ABD)
  • Experience in teaching Economics
  • Demonstrated record of excellent and innovative teaching (candidate should furnish evidence about such activities in the form of a teaching statement or portfolio.)
