Department: College of Arts & Sciences Time Type: Part time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Description: Summary: A Teaching Assistant (TA) for courses within the Computer Science Department will support a professor and students, primarily by leading discussions/labs, holding office hours for tutoring/clarification, grading assignments, and managing administrative tasks, acting as a crucial link to help students understand complex material and succeed in the course. Essential Functions: Lead discussions and labs. Hold office hours for tutoring/clarification. Grade assignments. Manage administrative tasks. Other duties assigned. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part-time. 5 hours per week. Salary Range: $17.95 per hour. Other Details This position is available only to enrolled American University students.
