About The Position

Woodruff Arts Center employees play an integral role in creating and supporting great art and education initiatives at the nation’s third largest arts center. Comprised of three Art Partners—Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Art—there’s a role for everyone at The Woodruff. The Teaching Artist is a creative and engaging art educator who will co-plan, write, and implement interactive workshops for Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade audiences during the school week at the High Museum of Art. The workshops line up with four curriculum-based programs, all vetted by educators and school administrators. Each workshop is generally an hour in length and accompanies a gallery-led tour. Teaching Artists are integral to the Museum’s educational mission: activating the Museum’s collections and exhibitions with inclusive learning opportunities in order to cultivate growth through inquiry and strengthen people’s connections with themselves, one another, and the wider world.
