NOW HIRING - PURDY ELEMENTARY - KINDERGARTEN TEACHER This position is a Leave Replacement assignment beginning January 5th and running through the end of the 2025-2026 school year. The salary will be prorated by the calculated FTE for the position. The salary reflected is for a 1.00 FTE educator, who begins the position at the start of the school year.

  • Valid Washington State Certificate with K-8 Elementary Education endorsement required.
  • Expertise in reading strategies and instruction; reading in the content area.
  • Successful teaching or student teaching experience.
  • Knowledge and experience teaching standards-based curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and flexibility.
  • Understanding of current state-adopted standards appropriate to the position growth.
  • Uses assessment to adapt curriculum and instruction so that each student experiences.
  • Reflects on personal performance for continuous improvement and implementation of best practices.
  • Communicates effectively to build relationships and articulates high expectations with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrates a love of learning that translates into high expectations for self and each student.
  • Contributes unique talents to work collaboratively for the benefit of the entire school community.
  • Embraces diversity and values the contributions of each individual.
  • Uses technology to enhance student learning and to communicate with parents and colleagues.
  • Exhibits a passion for working with students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and will communicate frequently with parents on students' academic and social areas.
  • Teachers with multiple certificate endorsements are preferred.
  • Teachers holding or pursuing National Board Certification preferred.
  • Teachers with a Special Education endorsement are desired.
