About The Position

LearnWell is seeking a passionate and creative part-time teacher in Cedar Park, TX, for a 12-month school year. This unique position involves working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing on-site educational services and academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment. For over 26 years, LearnWell has been committed to changing the lives of students dealing with behavioral health issues by helping them continue their education during treatment and successfully reintegrate into the classroom. The company has a network of over 200 educators. Class sizes typically range from 8-15 school-age patients at any one time. The position entails a 30-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Requirements

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
• Texas teaching license
• Comfortable working with K-12 students
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
• Reliable Transportation

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans
• Provide individualized assistance to students
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports
