Requirements

Education : Bachelor's degree in Education
Certification : Valid Montana teaching certificate
Endorsement : Special Education minor/endorsement required
Experience : Demonstrated experience working with students with emotional and behavioral challenges

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the classroom environment, including teacher assistants and students
Develop and implement flexible, individualized lesson plans that support academic and personal growth
Collaborate with clinical, medical, and nursing teams to align education with treatment goals
Provide small group and one-on-one instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs
Monitor, assess, and document student progress in alignment with IEP goals and hospital policies
Support students through transitions and discharge planning, maintaining communication with families and home schools
Foster a positive, structured learning environment that supports behavior management and engagement
Maintain accurate academic and behavioral records as required
