Teacher POOL - Two-Way Dual Language, Spanish/English K-12 (Effective 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR)
About The Position
A Teacher in the Tucson Unified School District Two-Way Dual Language Program advances student achievement through effective management of the learning environment, including preparing lesson plans, evaluating, and monitoring student performance and progress in alignment with the 90/10 immersion model. Our teachers provide effective and equitable instruction to students in various planned courses to address both content and language learning goals. Our Teachers demonstrate a solid commitment to continuous learning and understand and appreciate diversity; they collaboratively develop instructional strategies that encourage students to analyze and interpret class material. Teachers are responsible for maintaining a safe, respectful classroom to create an environment conducive to optimizing student strengths while simultaneously developing their natural curiosity and love of learning.
Requirements
- Grades Kindergarten - 3rd Arizona Elementary Certificate K-8 with Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish approved area also required if teaching Spanish) OR Arizona Early Childhood Certificate, Birth to Age-8 with Spanish Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish approved area also required if teaching Spanish)
- Grades 4th - 8th Arizona Elementary Certificate K-8 with Spanish Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish approved area also required if teaching Spanish)
- Grades 9th - 12th Arizona Secondary Certificate with Spanish Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish approved area also required if teaching Spanish)
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
