About The Position

Cross Country Education is looking for a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our K-12 team in beautiful Bel Air, MD . Position Overview: Join a strong team of four full-time TVIs and a dedicated O&M Specialist to promote student academic and functional independence. Provide direct itinerant TVI services to K-12 students, ensuring high-quality support is delivered across the district. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while providing expert instruction in Braille, screen readers, low vision aids, and compensatory skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or Visual Impairments
• Active Maryland Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired Certification (TVI)
• Proficiency in teaching current best practices for compensatory skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct itinerant TVI services to K-12 students
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide expert instruction in Braille, screen readers, low vision aids, and compensatory skills
