Position Overview: Deliver specialized instruction utilizing research-based teaching techniques that address the diverse needs, interests, and abilities of K-12 students with visual impairments. Adapt the curriculum and modify instructional materials to meet the specific learning requirements outlined in students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Partner daily with support personnel, teachers, and parents to foster strong relationships and promote overall student progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Blind or Visually Impaired Endorsement
• Proficiency in Braille (UEB) and knowledge of assistive technology for the visually impaired.

• Previous experience as a TVI or in a K-12 special education setting
