Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education
  • Must hold a valid NJDOE Instructional Certificate in Mathematics
  • Proven experience in teaching at the high school level, preferably in AP statistics
  • Strong knowledge of current educational practices and curriculum development
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Passion for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and open communication.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance the educational experience and address students' individual needs.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Supervise and mentor students during extracurricular activities, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
  • Uphold school policies and procedures while fostering a safe and productive learning environment.
