2025-26 Teacher - Family and Student Engagement Specialist
About The Position
The Family & Student Engagement Specialist is responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive school culture that enhances student success, strengthens relationships between families and the school, and supports the overall well-being of students. This role is designed to help students navigate their transition into high school, promote social-emotional learning (SEL), provide leadership opportunities, and increase family engagement. The specialist will work closely with student leadership, faculty, staff, and parents to design programs that celebrate academic and personal achievement while reinforcing the values of the school community. Additionally, the specialist will help establish and strengthen connections with alumni to support the school's culture and future initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct instruction, attend meetings and professional development in a virtual environment
- Experience in student programming, leadership coaching, SEL, or family engagement
