About The Position

Teaching students of limited English proficiency including instruction in the English language and development of the student's mastery of the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for Florida certification is required.
  • FL certification in ESOL (Grades K-12) OR English (Grades 6-12) plus ESOL Endorsement is a prerequisite for teaching in field.
  • Out-of-State Certification: If you hold an unexpired, out-of-state, professional educator certificate in this subject area, please for Florida reciprocity.
  • ESOL Major: Commonly accepted bachelor's (or higher degree) majors for a Florida temporary educator certificate include: English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
  • For other degree majors, pass the subject area exam in ESOL K–12
