Qualifications: This position requires entry-level knowledge and understanding of children's behavioral and developmental stages; beginning knowledge of State licensing regulations; ability to assist in classroom management, including strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills; patience and flexibility. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

Requirements

  • entry-level knowledge and understanding of children's behavioral and developmental stages

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the childcare industry preferred.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in managing the classroom, ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provides a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.
  • Assists in maintaining attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly.
  • Assists in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating by Celebree’s curriculum.
  • Assists in managing effective classroom transitions.
  • Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsels children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
  • Ensures the classroom's appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment are appropriately maintained.
  • Assists in completing all classroom paperwork.
  • Attends all team meetings, training, and School events as requested; limits unscheduled absences.
  • Presents a positive and professional image, always adhering to uniform requirements.
  • Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns promptly, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.
  • Identify opportunities and/or problems in the classroom or school and work with the Lead teacher and Director to resolve them.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding families, co-workers, and self.
  • Ability and flexibility in working with various age groups.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management.
