This is an internship during the summer of 2026, and interns should expect the duration to be 10-12 weeks. Based on performance during the summer session, and with the discretion of the leadership team, there is a possibility of extending the internship to part time during the school year. The Tax and Treasury Department at BAE Systems is looking for fast-moving accounting candidates who want to make an impact. The intern will work alongside accomplished professionals and gain valuable skills while supporting the day-to-day tax & treasury functions. Additionally, you will learn how we use various accounting applications and tools.
Requirements
- Currently in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree or graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree.
- Experience in using Excel.
- Curious, self-driven, and analytical.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment.
- Must be enrolled in a degree program during the timeframe of the internship. Graduates in May 2026 do not meet this requirement.

- We prefer a local candidate with flexibility to work remotely a few days a week
Responsibilities
- Perform basic tax research and analysis
- Assist with cash management/treasury activities
- Assist with completing estimated tax calculations
- Review and respond to tax notices
- Reconcile tax accounts
- Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
