This is a Tax Specialist I position in the General Tax Administration Program, Receivables Management, Field Operations - Collection Process, located in the Largo Service Center. The incumbent responds to phone inquiries, assists with registering new business entities, analyzes and reviews tax situations and returns, determines tax liabilities, and collects receivables in person, over the phone, or at the taxpayer’s business location. The incumbent also provides guidance on Florida tax statutes and Department policies and procedures, and assists in training and educating the public and Department employees.

Requirements

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
  • One year of experience collecting tax obligations within the General Tax Administration Program.
  • Six months of experience in the post warrant role performing enforcement actions including but not limited to filing tax liens, garnishment, responsible party assessment, transferee liability, or stipulation agreements.
