CLA is currently seeking a Tax Senior to join our Partnership Tax Consulting practice. How you’ll create opportunities in this Tax Senior – Partnership Tax Consulting role: Serve as a member of the Partnership Tax Consulting team. Participate in collaborative team projects involving partnership transactions, including preparing IRC Section 704(b) and inside tax capital accounts, as well as tracking and allocating IRC 704(c) built-in gains and losses. Communicate with team and clients and keep all informed of engagement progress and issues encountered. Keep up to date with new federal tax developments. Assist project leaders with scoping new projects. Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment that offers growth, autonomy, and encouragement to make things happen.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, JD Degree or a related field
  • 2+ years' of experience performing partnership compliance, an understanding of accounting methods, and creation of tax basis balance sheets.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA eligible preferred
  • Foundational understanding of subchapter K, familiarity with targeted allocations, and some experience with complex partnership transactions preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Alteryx is preferred
