About The Position

What you'll do As a Tax Senior in our Quality Assurance & Risk Management practice, you will serve as a broad-based quality and risk management resource for the NTQA team as they support the Tax Practice. Role responsibilities include: Perform and summarize tax technical and regulatory research Assist with Firm regulatory filings Manage content in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Understand and assist the NTQA team in applying professional standards and regulatory frameworks as it relates to tax and other services provided by Deloitte Tax LLP Understand and support the practice in applying Tax and Firm policies Participate in consultations with Independence and Conflicts Network, Confidentiality and Privacy, Office of General Counsel, US and Global Tax Risk, and Washington National Tax Serve as a support to the NTQA team during their consultations on Regulatory Matters and Tax Risk Policies and Procedures Develop and deliver quality and risk communications and training content on both a local and national level Support NTQA in evaluating quality and risk considerations relevant to emerging growth areas for the Tax Practice, including tax technology and other strategic areas The Team The National Tax Quality Assurance and Risk Management (NTQA) senior is responsible for supporting the Deloitte Tax LLP NTQA Group, including the Tax Chief Risk Officer. The NTQA senior supports the team in the establishment of firm policies and activities that provide a risk management framework of standards that guide Deloitte Tax professionals. NTQA supports our client-facing teams in delivering quality service to their clients while mitigating risks and is supported by a network of Quality Risk Managers (QRM).

Requirements

  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within in a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 3+ years' experience in tax compliance or tax consulting
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging tax technical skills in project management and quality review
  • One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
  • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
  • If not CPA eligible: Licensed Attorney
  • Enrolled Agent
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
