You'll lead diverse tax engagements, develop and grow client relationships, and mentor our rising professionals-all while contributing to the strategic growth of our firm. Requirements

• CPA license (active and in good standing in the state of AL) - Required
• 10+ years of recent experience in public accounting (tax-focused)
• Experience leading client engagements and managing staff
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
• Located within the Birmingham, AL area, or open to relocation
• A desire to grow into a Partner/Member role in a supportive and well-established firm

Responsibilities

• Review complex tax returns (corporate, individual, partnership)
• Lead tax planning, consulting, and compliance across a broad client base
• Research and resolve technical tax matters, especially in multi-state contexts
• Build and maintain strong client relationships built on trust and proactivity
• Mentor and lead team members, promoting a collaborative learning culture
• Contribute to strategic firm initiatives and business development
• Be a key part of the leadership team driving the success of BMSS
