About The Position

As a Senior in Global Trade, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and executing global trade strategies that align with business objectives. You’ll leverage your expertise in trade laws to optimize supply chain operations, drive cost savings, and ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include determining correct customs valuation, managing transfer pricing and customs valuation policies, and overseeing remediation processes and corrective filings with customs and other authorities. You will use your experience and technical knowledge to bring value to clients and manage risks related to global trade matters. You will be a member of our Global Trade Managed Services team that assists our clients to move their freight both effectively and compliantly around the globe.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Relations or a related trade operations management field.
  • 4 or more years of related work experience in industry, a professional services firm, a Fortune 500 company or a major importer or exporter
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and robust critical thinking capabilities.
  • A collaborative spirit and a dedication to contributing positively to team dynamics.
  • Industry-specific certifications or licenses are viewed favorably.

Nice To Haves

  • A Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) certification

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute deliverables, track deliverable completion and project status.
  • Execute Harmonized System (HS) Classification Projects
  • Drive Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification and solicitation initiatives
  • Conduct rigorous audits of customs brokers and third-party providers to uphold the highest standards of trade compliance.
  • Research customs and international trade issues and perform customs compliance work for our clients.
  • Supports opportunities for additional services (5-10% of time), assists in completion of RFP responses, and maintains reports for engagement economics.
