The Senior Analyst, Tax M&A and Regulatory & Risk Management will support the Tax Global Tax Reporting and Planning team on tax due diligence, transaction support, and ongoing tax risk and regulatory matters. This role works closely with internal tax leadership, cross-functional partners, and external advisors to support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and internal initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, law firm, corporate tax. Less years required for Juris Doctorate (JD) qualification
  • Exposure to transaction-related tax work, tax research, or complex tax issues (direct M&A experience preferred but not required)
  • Solid foundation in U.S. federal income tax concepts; exposure to state or international tax a plus
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex issues clearly
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and grow into increased responsibility over time
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s in Taxation, Accounting, Business (MBA), or Law (JD) preferred
  • CPA or JD preferred
  • LLM in Taxation a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support tax due diligence efforts for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and internal restructurings
  • Assist with transaction modeling, document review, and analysis of federal, state, and international tax considerations
  • Help prepare transaction-related tax memoranda, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Support the review of tax provisions in acquisition and disposition agreements, with guidance from senior team members
  • Assist in identifying and documenting tax risks, exposures, and regulatory considerations related to transactions
  • Support tax audits, inquiries, and regulatory matters by gathering data, coordinating responses, and tracking progress
  • Monitor tax legislation and regulatory developments relevant to transactions and business operations
  • Assist with legal entity rationalization, integration planning, and post-transaction implementation efforts
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and external advisors on transaction-related workstreams
