About The Position

The Tax Intern role offers college students hands-on experience supporting state
and local tax compliance within a corporate finance environment. Working
alongside experienced tax professionals, this fully remote internship provides
exposure to real-world tax filings, research on tax law changes, and
cross-functional collaboration. The role is designed to help students apply
academic learning to practical work while building foundational skills for a
future career in accounting, finance, or tax.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
• Basic knowledge of accounting and tax concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions, manage multiple tasks, and work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to research tax topics and prepare written summaries or analysis
• Experience preparing simple tax returns or tax-related documents
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
• Availability to work full-time during the Summer (approximately May--August)

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of state and local income tax filings, including estimates, returns, and quarterly filings
• Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Research current tax law changes related to assigned filings
• Assist with tax-related documentation and analysis
• Support special projects and ad hoc requests within the Tax department
• Collaborate with team members while developing professional and technical skills
