About The Position

TeleSolv Consulting is seeking an experienced Task Order Manager to lead on-site printing, reproduction, and document production support services in the Washington, DC area. This position supports the federal government, and all applicants must be local to the Washington, DC area. The Task Order Manager plays a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-volume printing, reproduction, scanning, finishing, and distribution services in a fast-paced production environment. This individual will oversee daily operations, manage contractor personnel, coordinate priorities, maintain service quality, and serve as the primary liaison between on-site staff and government representatives. The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, excellent communication, and hands-on technical expertise with production print workflows and equipment. This position supports a government operation responsible for time-sensitive document production and distribution. The Task Order Manager helps ensure customer requirements are accurately received, scheduled, produced, inspected, packaged, tracked, and delivered in accordance with operational priorities and established quality standards.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to comply with government security procedures and sign a non-disclosure statement.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Washington, DC area.
  • Three years of relevant experience, including at least two years of general experience and one year of specialized experience.
  • General experience in the printing and reproduction field.
  • Experience with scanning documents and using office applications such as Word, WordPerfect, publishing applications, Excel, and similar tools.
  • Specialized experience serving as a manager or team lead for a project or work group.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Experience organizing activities, reviewing work with close attention to detail, and troubleshooting operational problems.
  • Hands-on proficiency using PRISMA print workflow automation and production tools.
  • Ability to perform printing, reproduction, binding, finishing, scanning, and distribution support in a production environment.
  • Ability to follow complex directions and perform duties with minimal guidance.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work professionally with staff and stakeholders.
  • Ability to support occasional extended hours, alternative schedules, evenings, or weekends when required by operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all services are performed in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and established procedures.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between company leadership, on-site contractor staff, and government representatives.
  • Manage day-to-day contractor personnel and ensure sufficient staffing coverage to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Perform the full range of duties associated with advanced printing and reproduction support, including receiving, scheduling, producing, and closing out customer jobs.
  • Review incoming work requests to confirm authorization, completeness, specifications, schedules, and delivery instructions.
  • Determine production schedules based on job complexity, volume, customer deadlines, and operational priorities.
  • Notify the appropriate government representatives when requested due dates cannot be met and recommend alternative solutions when available.
  • Maintain customer contact information, job production requirements, and delivery instructions for all work orders.
  • Operate and support electronic production workflows using government-provided systems, software, and print automation tools, including PRISMA.
  • Ensure electronic files and images are properly processed and aligned with agreed production standards.
  • Oversee packaging and final product preparation, including boxing, binding, laminating, shrink-wrapping, and delivery coordination.
  • Conduct quality inspections of finished products to verify completeness, accuracy, and freedom from defects such as smudging, scumming, flawed sheets, or introduced typographical errors.
  • Communicate job status updates to customers and notify customers when completed work is available for pickup or delivery.
  • Address customer service issues professionally and elevate complaints or product concerns to the appropriate government representative.
  • Support quick-turn reproduction requests and prioritize immediate service for authorized rush jobs.
  • Assist users with walk-up copier services and proper operation of high-speed reproduction equipment.
  • Perform routine operator-level equipment maintenance and coordinate service calls with maintenance or leasing vendors as needed.
  • Record equipment meter readings and provide required usage reporting.
  • Monitor supply levels, maintain inventory listings, and notify the appropriate representative when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Maintain clean, orderly production spaces and comply with recycling, shredding, and workplace upkeep procedures.
  • Train replacement contractor personnel to ensure continuity of operations and minimal disruption to services.
  • Provide training or operational support to government staff or other personnel during continuity or emergency situations when requested.
  • Attend kick-off, quarterly, and other required meetings, furnish input, and provide meeting notes and related documentation within required timelines.
  • Submit accurate bi-weekly time reports and verify personnel labor reporting and attendance procedures.
