About The Position

This temporary Task Force role is for 8-16 weeks. In partnership with the General Manager, the (temporary) Task Force Chef oversees all Food and Beverage operations for our Cambria Denver property. This role is responsible for leading culinary execution, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction while ensuring financial performance, food quality, and team development. The Task Force Chef plays a hands-on leadership role, supporting daily operations and stepping in where coverage or operational expertise is needed to deliver a best‑in‑class Food & Beverage experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of culinary and management experience, preferably in a high‑volume environment
  • Food & Beverage service worker permit where applicable
  • Open availability and flexibility to travel and work varying schedules
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Working knowledge of food cost controls, labor management, and basic financial metrics
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee daily Food & Beverage operations to ensure exceptional service and product quality
  • Lead menu development and execution for restaurants, lounges, and banquet operations
  • Manage Food & Beverage profitability, including cost controls, labor management, and P&L accountability
  • Ensure labor costs align with forecasted targets
  • Partner with corporate and property leadership to support marketing initiatives and revenue growth
  • Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control standards
  • Maintain a hands‑on presence in the kitchen, working scheduled shifts as needed
  • Direct food preparation, production, and presentation across all outlets
  • Ensure menus, recipe standards, and daily specials are executed accurately and consistently
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, requisitioning, and utilization of overstocked items
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with all company, brand, and regulatory food safety requirements
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop kitchen and Food & Beverage associates
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet business demand
  • Create weekly schedules for departments overseen
  • Conduct performance management, including discipline and termination when necessary
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment
  • Ensure excellent guest service by supporting associates and addressing guest needs
  • Maintain visibility and engagement with guests to enhance satisfaction
  • Work cross‑functionally with hotel departments to support overall guest experience
  • Support sales efforts by engaging guests and assisting with site tours when requested
  • Promote repeat business by delivering memorable service experiences
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Maintain OSHA, MSDS, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Participate in emergency response activities as required
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or security concerns immediately
