About The Position

The Talent Specialist plays a critical role in sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding top-tier talent for the bank. As one of the first points of contact for potential employees, this role serves as an ambassador of the bank’s brand, values, and culture. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring a seamless and professional experience for candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process. This position also ensures that onboarding practices support employee engagement and regulatory compliance. Partners with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and determine job requirements. Coordinates the job posting process, ensuring that all vacancies are advertised appropriately, internally and externally. Screens applications and resumes and schedules and conducts interviews with prospective candidates. Ensures compliance with EEOC Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection during the hiring process. Administers and interprets pre-employment assessments as applicable. Conducts reference checks, background checks, and other pre-employment verifications. Prepares and extends offer letters to selected candidates. Manages all aspects of onboarding, including coordinating new hire orientations, preparing employee files, and completing employment forms. Facilitates the internal transfer process, including candidate screening, coordination of interviews, and preparing transfer offer letters. Maintains accurate and up-to-date information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Verifies employment eligibility by reviewing I-9 documents and entering information into E-Verify. Completes verifications of employment and assists with gathering information for unemployment claims. Educates employees on HR policies and procedures and answers general HR-related inquiries. Stay current on employment laws and HR best practices to help ensure compliance. Administers the company store website, ensuring employees can order a branded shirt annually at the bank’s expense and access additional items for payroll deduction. Communicates potential issues or concerns to appropriate management in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc.
  • Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college.
  • Must deliver Service with HEART to all customers, both internal and external.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of employee, customer and bank information at all times.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy and be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to cross-train for other positions.
  • Must be able to follow and explain to others regulations affecting hiring and other Human Resources matters.
  • Note: 60% of required experience (3 of the 5 years) must be in Human Resources.
  • Required management experience may be in managing people and/or processes.
  • Other experience should include customer service, banking, and or administrative services.
