About The Position

The Talent Scout (TS) identifies, engages, and attracts top-tier therapy professionals, including Physical Therapists (PT), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA), Occupational Therapists (OT), Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA) and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP). This role is critical in building a robust pipeline of qualified candidates to support our organization’s mission of delivering exceptional patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in talent sourcing or recruitment, preferably in healthcare or therapy disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of PT/A, OT/A, and SLP roles, licensure requirements, and industry standards.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with sourcing tools, social media platforms, and ATS systems.
  • Ability to work independently and meet sourcing goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team.
  • Excellent driving record is required.
  • Infrequent travel may be needed to attend job fairs, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with specialized healthcare recruitment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of therapy professional associations and academic programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize multiple channels (job boards, social media, professional networks, universities, and industry events) to identify and initiate relationships with PT, PTA, OT, OTA, and SLP candidates.
  • Develop a network of contacts beyond current open positions.
  • Assist with procuring non-licensed personnel for clinical support and home office positions.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to reach passive candidates, niche talent pools, employees at direct competitors, etc.
  • Networking & Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with individual therapy professionals, academic programs, and professional associations.
  • Manage student clinical rotations for the company, in partnership with academic programs and Operations team.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the organization’s culture and opportunities.
  • Screening & Assessment: Conduct initial outreach and pre-screening to assess qualifications, licensure, and cultural fit.
  • Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to align candidate profiles with job requirements.
  • Conduct phone screens for non-licensed clinical personnel or licensed personnel as needed and report viable candidates to hiring managers.
  • Assist with credential verification and background checks for licensed professionals.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor hiring practices.
  • Provide insights to improve recruitment strategies and candidate experience.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate candidate and applicant data in the applicant tracking system (ATS), Candidate Relationship Management (CRM), employee referral program, open positions and other systems critical to candidate and applicant success as needed.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and communication with prospects, Talent Acquisition personnel, hiring managers and directors.
  • Other functions: Assist with preparation of materials as needed.
  • Attend company meetings as requested.
  • Assist with other activities as directed by Talent Acquisition Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
