About The Position

As Manager, Talent Partnerships on the Talent + Experiential team, within the Creative Collaborations arm of Marketing, your role will be to deliver incremental value to our brand, business, and guest experience—while embodying and reflecting Target’s values. You’ll collaborate with inspiring, inclusive, and culturally resonant external talent partners to amplify our voice and presence in the world. You’ll be a part of the team who helps lead the identification and management of external talent—ranging from emerging voices to high-profile celebrities—who serve as credible authorities in Style + Design, Lifestyle, Entertaining, Beauty, Home, Pop Culture, and Food + Beverage. Rooted in business strategy and a deeply human approach, you’ll ensure all partnerships are authentic, mutually beneficial, and aligned with Target’s brand and priorities. You will steward talent identification and the subsequent relationships with care, always optimizing for return on relationship value. You’ll be a key input to our talent curation process, aligning talent with business objectives to create deeper guest engagement. Your cultural fluency and talent expertise will bring fresh, intuitive insights that fuel bold ideas and innovation. Through your work, you’ll support the overall vision of the Talent and Experiential team—contributing a future-forward talent approach that helps continually redefine what best-in-class partnerships look like at Target. Requirements

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in cultural and talent identification & management
  • Seasoned experience working with agents, PR reps and talent managers
  • Strong talent management skillset
  • Deep cultural acumen and avid student of culture with a pulse on what’s to come: must know who is topical/emerging and what talent will be breakthrough
  • Ability to cultivate and nurture external partner relationships over time
  • Established relationships in the industry
  • Experience with social media tools, platforms and metrics while understanding the impact of leveraging talent
  • Skilled collaboration across partner teams to ensure a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Ability to write a compelling brief and work against a defined strategy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Skilled operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment with focused prioritization and high personal accountability
  • A growth mindset: resiliency, curiosity, enthusiasm for the future, and bias for action
