The Opportunity Abt Global seeks bright, talented, and intellectually curious students to participate in our summer Abternship as a Talent Management Intern . This role combines exposure to Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development, with a growing focus on how AI and digital tools can support the employee lifecycle. As a paid intern supporting Abt’s Talent Management team, you will gain hands-on experience across recruiting, learning, and workforce development initiatives while being immersed in Abt’s organizational culture. You will work alongside experienced professionals to explore how technology, data, and thoughtful design can improve how we attract, develop, and support talent. Interns will participate in a structured program that includes professional development opportunities, networking events, and mentorship. Interns may be remote, hybrid, or in person and can be located anywhere in the United States. The Summer Internship Program at Abt Global is 10 weeks, beginning June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026. Interns must be able to work full time, 40 hours per week, and participate in required programming, seminars, and meetings throughout the Abternship.

Requirements

  • Candidate is currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in human resources, business, psychology, data analytics, information systems, learning sciences, or a related field.
  • Has completed at least two years of college coursework at the time of application.
  • Strong interest in talent management, HR technology, learning and development, or digital transformation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Is available to work full time throughout the 10-week internship.
  • Is eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AI concepts or tools such as ChatGPT, Power Automate, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of HR processes across the employee lifecycle is a plus.
  • Transitioning military and students from alternative education pathways are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Support pilot testing and exploration of AI-enabled tools within HR systems to improve recruitment, learning, and talent management workflows, as applicable.
  • Create quick-reference materials to support ethical AI use, responsible prompting, and effective adoption of AI tools by HR teams.
  • Assist with implementing AI-related competency frameworks or resources within internal talent systems.
  • Contribute to learning and development initiatives by creating AI-enabled microlearning assets, job aids, or learning resources.
  • Assist in organizing Learning Labs and development sessions, including drafting pre-session materials and post-session summaries.
  • Support continuous performance and development initiatives through research, content creation, and coordination support.
  • Use AI tools and data analysis to support sourcing, talent forecasting, and workforce planning efforts across early-career, mid-level, and senior roles.
  • Assist in drafting structured interview guides and recruiting resources that support consistency and bias reduction.
  • Support recruitment campaigns by creating engaging content for internal platforms and social media.
