The Organizational Development Specialist partners with HR and business leaders to design and deliver learning and organizational development solutions that strengthen leadership capability, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. Working within a small, collaborative team, this role supports The US Oncology Network-specific initiatives that positively impact more than 20,000 healthcare professionals and ultimately thousands of oncology patients across the United States. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who brings strong execution skills, sound judgment, and a passion for building scalable learning and talent solutions while working independently under limited direction.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Critical Skills Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while working under limited direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with learning platforms such as LinkedIn Learning or Cornerstone OnDemand.
  • Experience using authoring tools such as Articulate 360 to develop self‑paced learning.
  • Foundational knowledge of adult learning theory or instructional design models.
  • Experience working with vendors to support learning delivery or content development.
  • Healthcare or highly regulated industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or related field (BA/BS required).
  • Related certifications (e.g., Prosci, APTD, CPTD, CPTM, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP) highly preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Program Design & Learning Solutions Support the design, development, and enhancement of organizational development and learning programs aligned to the needs of HR partners and business clients.
  • Assist with curating and assembling content across multiple learning modalities, including virtual instructor‑led sessions, in‑person experiences, and self‑directed learning (e.g., LinkedIn Learning, Cornerstone OnDemand).
  • Apply adult learning theory and instructional design principles when developing learning materials and participant resources.
  • Use AI‑assisted tools (e.g., Copilot) to support learning needs analysis, content drafting, and program materials, incorporating feedback and guidance from senior team members.
  • Follow established templates and content standards to ensure learning materials are clear, consistent, and aligned to intended outcomes.
  • Program Delivery & Logistics Coordinate learning program logistics, including scheduling, facilitator coordination, learner enrollment, pre‑work, assessments, and materials.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to support learning delivery, including coordination of materials, logistics, and invoicing support.
  • Ensure learning programs are executed with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Use AI‑enabled tools to assist with learner communications, scheduling support, and preparation of program materials, verifying accuracy before distribution.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement Support post‑learning evaluation activities, including survey administration, feedback collection, and basic data review.
  • Use AI‑assisted tools to help summarize qualitative feedback (e.g., open‑ended survey comments), under guidance, and validate themes before sharing.
  • Partner with HR colleagues to identify improvement opportunities and implement recommended updates to programs or materials.
  • Collaboration & Communication Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent colleagues, and program stakeholders to support learning initiatives and timelines.
  • Assist with the development and distribution of learning and Talent program communications for internal platforms such as intranet sites and newsletters.
  • Prepare clear summaries, materials, and updates for stakeholders using established formats and guidance.
  • Support learning experiences that introduce practical AI‑enabled work practices (e.g., using AI to improve judgment, evaluation, and communication effectiveness) as directed.
  • Review and validate AI‑generated content for accuracy, clarity, and appropriateness before use or sharing.
