About The Position

The Talent Pipeline Associate supports the Talent & Culture team by keeping our recruiting engine and talent programs running smoothly—especially our internship and high school pipelines. This role is equal parts recruiting administration, program operations, and candidate experience. You’ll help build a deep bench of mission-aligned talent while reinforcing a self-governing culture of Happy Warriors—people who take ownership, serve the mission, and bring disciplined optimism to the work. About TPPF: The Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit research-based think tank in Austin, Texas. Established in 1989, TPPF promotes conservative principles and develops free-market approaches to public policy challenges affecting Texans and all Americans. To achieve its mission, TPPF analyzes complex issues, creates legislative policy solutions, and advocates for those solutions at the Texas Legislature, Congress, and other public forums. Requirements

  • Experience: We welcome early-career applicants and those changing paths. Prior experience in recruiting coordination, HR/admin, customer service, event or program coordination, operations, or office administration is helpful—but not necessary if you exhibit the competencies above.
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven, without losing the human touch.
  • Comfortable operating in a self-governing environment where ownership beats escalation.
  • Willing to support occasional evening/weekend events during peak program seasons (as needed).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with an applicant tracking system (ATS) or CRM (or the ability to learn quickly).
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office (calendar, docs, spreadsheets).
  • Ability to juggle multiple timelines and keep stakeholders informed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain recruiting workflows (job postings, applicant tracking, stage updates, and documentation).
  • Coordinate interview logistics: scheduling, confirmations, prep materials, and follow-up communications.
  • Serve as a friendly, professional point of contact for candidates—ensuring timely updates and a great experience.
  • Maintain recruiting templates, process guides, and standardized communications.
  • Support end-to-end internship operations: application cycles, interview coordination, offer packets, onboarding logistics, and offboarding.
  • Track intern requirements and details (paperwork, schedules, deliverables, check-ins, learning objectives).
  • Coordinate intern programming logistics (sessions, speakers, calendars, materials, room/Zoom setup).
  • Help equip intern supervisors with resources and ensure clear communication between interns, managers, and Talent & Culture.
  • Support high school pipeline operations: outreach, applications, communications, event logistics, and participant tracking.
  • Coordinate student-facing logistics (deadlines, forms, permissions, schedules, welcome materials).
  • Maintain records for cohorts, participation, and outcomes to support evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Model ownership: take initiative, solve problems early, and communicate clearly.
  • Build systems that reduce friction and increase ownership across hiring managers and program leads.
  • Uphold standards of professionalism, hospitality, responsiveness, and mission-first service.
