About The Position

Under the supervision of the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Supervisor provides oversight for the candidate experience area in Human Resources (HR) assisting with the recruitment process from the point of application submission through the completion of onboarding. This role supports the development and management of a human-centered talent strategy, focusing on stakeholder relationship building and ensuring an inclusive candidate experience. The Talent Acquisition Supervisor assists in implementing and managing an efficient, human-centered acquisition process, providing high-touch, prompt communication to support both recruits and hiring managers throughout the entire post-application process. In alignment with ASI’s guiding ideas, the Talent Acquisition Supervisor contributes to a student learning-centered HR Department by working collaboratively with organizational stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 12 credit/units in Management and Human Resources (MHR), or equivalent
  • Minimum of6 monthsof experience in recruitment, acquisition, or onboarding
  • Minimum of 1 year ofleadership experience
  • Minimum of6 monthsof hands-on experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and internal HR databases
  • Working knowledge of the inclusive practices in the full recruitment cycle from application to onboarding
  • Working knowledge of human resources functions, procedures, and systems
  • Abilitytohandleall activities and highly confidential information with patience, discretion, excellent professional judgement,courtesyand tact
  • Knowledge and ability to develop and implement effective and efficient processes, procedures, and solutions
  • Abilitytoshareand discuss ideas,solutionsand suggestions with the commonobjectiveof selecting the best course of action
  • Ability to plan and review a variety of activities and meet important deadlines.
  • General knowledge of the principles of personnel management and supervision and ability to effectivelyutilizemanagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible forsupporting therecruitment, supervision, training, development, performance management, and guidance as needed toareapersonnel, setting goals, preparing evaluations of their performance, and cross-training to effectively work towards a cohesive, collaborative, and synergistic teamof8TalentAcquisition Assistants.
  • Ensure assigned operations in theareaare carried outin accordance withestablished policies and procedures based on organizational and department goals and progressive human-centered HR standards
  • Manage the Talent AcquisitionAssistantteamto ensure that work is properlyallocatedand completed ina timelyandaccuratemanner and guide overall prioritiesfor thedepartment area.
  • Provide assistancedevelopingand providingoversight of the acquisition team to effectively screencandidates, lead inclusive interview teams, select top candidates in collaboration with the hiring manager/team, and provide effectiveandtimelycommunication for candidate statusand daily onboarding support
  • Assistinoversight of the organizationalonboarding process and applicable documentation in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, position offer, onboarding paperwork,and clear,timelycommunication.
  • Assistwith the creation and continuous improvement of a seamless, engaging, and transparent candidate journey from application to the onboarding transition
  • Assistwith the design and implementation of acquisition strategies that actively promote diversity and inclusivity in the hiring process
  • In collaboration with hiring managers,assistsinanalyzingcurrent and future part-time staffing needs and acquisition timelines to ensure strategic talent acquisition
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders, leverage acquisition metrics, including but not limited to time-to-fill, quality of hire, and source effectiveness,toassistinrefiningstrategies and processes to support organizational needs
  • Support the management of the university (CSU’s) student eligibility process and overseethatthe required checks are completed
  • Ensureproper Background Check procedures are followed according to policy and communicating any inconsistencies, discrepancies,or clearance issues totheTalent Acquisition Manager
  • Assistinensuringtheinitialreporting ofEDD compliance
  • Assistin oversightoftheE-Verify process, compliance, records and any required communication to candidates,employeesand management.
  • Manage onboarding administration forincomingstaff; ensuretimelyprocessing of new employee documentation and transition to the employee experience team
  • Assistwith analyzingexisting recruitment, onboarding, process and services for compliance and efficiency, making recommendations for change as needed
  • Assistin thedevelopment, documentation, and implementation of standard operating procedures for thescreening, candidateselection, and onboarding process, including human-centered best practices
  • Collaborateswith stakeholders,co-developsandprovidesoversight for thetalent acquisition dashboards, reports, ensuring key organizational and departmental metrics are attained
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders in providing oversight of historical records, current and future talent acquisition activities
  • Collaborates with organizational and department/unit stakeholders with area/unit updates, process changes and cross-area/unit initiatives
  • Assistsinidentifyingacquisition-related themes through data and presents findings and recommendations for implementation
  • In collaboration with stakeholders, oversee the development, maintenance, and implementationofStandardOperating Procedures (SOPs) for the talent acquisition area
  • Assistwith general HR inquiries, issues,and discrepancies from employees, managers, and administrators, as needed
  • Maintains an inclusive environment by providing exceptional customer service for ASI staff, management, and candidates
  • Actively stays updated on currentscreening,interviewing, and onboarding best practices and trends including compliance with all legal requirements
  • Role model the behaviors of ASI core values, constantly challenging one’s mental models as an active learner
  • Attend all ASIrequiredtrainings, including but not limited to, annual all staff and department retreats
