The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages full-cycle recruitment across agency programs, partnering with hiring managers to attract, assess, and hire qualified, mission-aligned talent. This role supports proactive sourcing efforts, maintains recruitment operations and reporting, and ensures compliance throughout the pre-employment and onboarding process. The ideal candidate brings recruitment experience within nonprofit, early childhood education, behavioral health, or community-based social services settings and understands the complexity of hiring in regulated, government-funded and grant-funded programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of full-cycle recruiting experience required; experience within nonprofit, government-funded, education, behavioral health, or social services organizations strongly preferred.
  • Experience recruiting for credentialed, licensed, or regulated roles highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit and grant-funded environments, including compliance-driven hiring practices, preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build effective partnerships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritize competing deadlines in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for roles within nonprofit social services programs, including Early Childhood Education, behavioral health, and interdisciplinary support services.
  • Recruit for credentialed and licensed professionals in regulated environments (e.g., teachers, mental health providers, and social service staff), ensuring alignment with compliance and funding requirements.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill roles within mission-driven, community-based organizations.
  • Maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), recruitment data, and reporting to support hiring decisions and workforce needs.
  • Oversee pre-employment and onboarding processes, ensuring completion of required documentation and alignment with licensing, government funding, and grant compliance standards.
