About The Position

As Morningstar DBRS continues to expand, our recruiting team is focused on bringing in exceptional talent to fuel the success of our credit ratings business. The Role: We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist for a 6-month contract to support full cycle recruitment for our Credit Ratings business. This role is ideal for a recruiter with financial services or capital markets experience who brings a data-driven approach, strong stakeholder partnership, and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment. This role is execution focused, hands-on, and ideal for someone who understands financial services talent and enjoys driving the recruiting process from end to end. This position is based in our New York office (hybrid, 4 days onsite).

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, preferably within financial services.
  • Proven ability to manage requisitions independently and deliver high quality candidates for junior and mid-level roles.
  • Strong sourcing skills and comfort navigating both active and passive talent pools.
  • Proven ability to build trust and credibility with internal partners and candidates, supported by strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously.
  • Experience working within Workday or similar ATS environments is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting for roles in credit, capital markets, research, or related financial roles preferred.
  • Curiosity and willingness to adopt new tools and AI-driven technologies to improve recruitment workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for junior and mid-level roles including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding handoff.
  • Partner with hiring managers to align on search strategies, candidate profiles, and market realities.
  • Provide clear, consistent updates on search progress, candidate pipelines and market activity.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience, representing Morningstar’s brand and values across all touchpoints.
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing techniques—LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, referrals, and market intelligence—to uncover strong talent within financial services.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and workflow progress within Workday.
  • Demonstrate agility in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with curiosity and openness to leveraging emerging technologies, including agentic AI, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
