About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible to identify and recruit high performing employees into all departments through traditional and innovative recruiting channels. This position develops strategies to assist management achieve and maintain required staffing levels. This position collaborates with hiring managers to identify critical staffing needs and to recruit high volume and difficult-to-fill positions at all levels. The Talent Acquisition Specialists is expected to proactively market NJ Sharing Network as an employer of choice and seek passive and active candidates for open positions. This position will establish and maintain relationships with varying recruiting sources to achieve high level exposure to potential qualified candidates. Responsible for internal and external employment and placement activities. Responsible for all needs pertaining to scheduling, set-up, and execution of organizational/classroom orientation. Works with management to identify development opportunities for career ladders in various positions. This position is expected to meet the service deliverables for recruiting needs in all areas. Responsible to ensure all programs follow established procedures and regulatory guidelines. Responsible for timely compliance with all Network programs and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • 3 to 5 years of HR and/or Recruitment and/or OPO experience required.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and procedures, compensation strategies and human resources policies preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HRIS/ ADP WFN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all recruitment activities.
  • Ensures requisitions are approved and processed according to established guidelines.
  • Works on internal job posting program and external recruitment activities and all aspects of the recruiting process.
  • Coordinates/schedules interviews, administers selection process and ensures all applications are completed.
  • Coordinates temporary agency staffing services.
  • Schedules and coordinates new employee processing with Human Resources team.
  • Responsible for verbal employment offer process.
  • Confers with hiring manager regarding selected candidate, reviews application, interview results/remarks, provides final verification of qualifications of selected candidate.
  • Recommends salary in consultation with manager and Human Resources team with approval of the Department Head.
  • Responds to job applicants in regard to current employment opportunities, fostering relationships with talent to ensure they have a positive candidate experience.
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of verbal employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, agreements, etc.).
  • Organizes and leads post-interview debrief sessions with interview teams and manage the feedback process to determine next steps.
  • Innovate and elevate recruitment with modern digital recruitment strategies including social media recruitment, digital recruitment campaigns, content creation and talent mapping.
  • Develops new strategies and programs to attract candidates.
  • Maintains a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need by building networks of potential candidates.
  • Continuously partners with managers and to design, refine, and implement innovative recruiting strategies for top talent to manage high visibility, tough-to-fill roles in candidate sourcing, pre-qualification screenings, and development.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with educational institutions ensuring a robust pipeline of potential candidates.
  • Develops and manages the recruitment event budget and project planning.
  • Host in-house recruitment events and attend relevant networking and community events such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc.
  • Meets or exceeds time to fill, candidate experience and quality of hire targets.
  • Develops and manages intern program, orientations; monitoring intern job contributions; advising managers on training and coaching as needed.
  • Manages the scheduling, set-up, and execution of organizational/classroom orientation.
  • Responsible for tracking and analyzing data regarding employee and applicant statistics as requested.
  • Develops, implements, and improves in collaboration with the HR team on recruitment processes, forms, templates, databases and tools, recruiting metrics, as well as implements strategies to improve metrics.
  • Maintains confidential employee personnel files within all required federal and state guidelines.
  • Retains required records.
