About The Position

Morningstar’s corporate functions, specifically the People and Culture team, play an essential role in supporting the company’s strategic initiatives, day-to-day operations, and infrastructure. The People and Culture team is the steward of Morningstar’s unique culture, designing and delivering end-to-end programs and experiences that support the entire talent lifecycle. By helping Morningstar employees succeed, they contribute to the company’s growth and success. Our Talent Acquisition Associates are integral in attracting great people to Morningstar, from providing the first experience through candidate sourcing, to interview scheduling, to the pre-onboarding process. This role seeks someone who is passionate about hiring the best, values creating a great candidate experience, and understands the importance of finding talented people with a passion for Morningstar’s mission to create great products that help investors reach their financial goals. This is a great opportunity to learn full cycle recruiting to prepare for a career in talent acquisition. This position is based in Morningstar's Chicago office, with a hybrid work model requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience and a proven track record in People & Culture (HR) or in a client service-related role.
  • Strong desire in a career path in talent acquisition, including sourcing candidates to uncover talent, both internally and externally.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly, act professionally, and proactively take responsibility.
  • Demonstration of a high level of discretion and candor relating to sensitive or confidential information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities while delivering on a dynamic candidate and hiring manager experience, acting with appropriate urgency to time sensitive work.
  • Strong attention to detail and a process improvement inclination.
  • A passion for learning about Morningstar’s business, our mission, and working in accordance with our values.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with our Americas’ Talent Acquisition Specialists (recruiters) to own interview scheduling, playing a critical role as Morningstar’s first point of contact for our candidates and future employees.
  • Assisting in the assessment and implementation of interview scheduling automation to further our goal of scaling TA processes supporting Morningstar’s long-term business goals.
  • Continuously contribute to improving and enhancing the candidate and hiring manager experience, including collecting and analyzing survey feedback.
  • Enthusiastically promote Morningstar as a great place to work through campus recruiting, professional organizations and other promotion efforts, as needed.
  • Ensure requisitions align with documented process and procedures and then check for any potential errors/inconsistencies.
  • Support the candidate offer, background check and pre-onboarding processes, ensuring the highest quality and thoroughness.
  • Manage and solve inquiries that come from TA team and our candidates.
