Internship Program: Blount’s Internship Program aims to grow students from our community in a way that is mutually beneficial by providing experiential learning opportunities and connecting concepts learned in the classroom to real-world applications in order to contribute to the professional readiness of tomorrow’s workforce. Interns can expect timely feedback, accessible supervisors, bi-weekly meetings with the internship program lead, assistance with career readiness, and networking opportunities. Summary: Intern will assist the Talent Acquisition Department with a wide range of projects related to recruiting, screening, sourcing etc. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills she or he may have acquired in school related to his or her areas of interest and apply them in a professional setting. He or she will gain a better understanding of the role that Talent Acquisition can play and be better prepared to work in the arena of Talent Acquisition or Human Resources.

Requirements

  • Degree (B.A.) candidate from College or University or related experience; or equivalent combination of both education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and Canva.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Recruiting Department to review resumes, identify candidates, and initiate the on-boarding process
  • Schedule interviews for our talent acquisition and hiring teams.
  • building pipeline of candidates and build relationships
  • Conduct phone screens and monitor candidates throughout the interview process
  • Assist recruiting efforts on social media, networking, and ATS
  • Communicate professionally with candidates and other members of HR
  • Support special projects and events including but limited to career fairs, hiring events, process documentation and sourcing reports
  • Perform other tasks as requested
