About The Position

This opportunity is for individuals looking to combine technical skills with big picture thinking to develop and deliver complex solutions for military clients. The role involves understanding the customer’s environment to develop appropriate systems for their mission and translating real-world needs into technical specifications. As a systems engineer, the individual will shape communication system products, designing, developing, and evolving them with advanced technology solutions. The position offers a chance to broaden skillsets across all functions of tactical operations and merge technical expertise with other members of the tactical team to create rapid command and control system products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience installing, operating, and maintaining tactical radios and managing the operation of telecommunication systems and networks
  • Experience in various frequency bands, including HF, VHF, UHF and commonly used C2 frequencies
  • Experience with supporting analysis of system performance, throughput, response time, operational requirements, and system loading
  • Experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing US Military Radio Systems, including Manpack Radios
  • Experience working with software development teams to ensure new products and applications meet mission and interoperability requirements
  • Knowledge of Tactical Data Lins including Link-16
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • IAT Level II Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with training gained through Field Service Representative (FSR), Maintainer MOSs, and NEC's
  • Experience in all aspects of transmission, including modulation and coding, link budgets, radio frequency equipment, antennas, waveforms, blockage mitigation, algorithms, or protocols
  • Experience operating or maintaining sensor systems including Sunhillo Margate II and Rici 6000
  • Experience operating or maintaining Satellite systems including StarShield and MILSATCOM
  • Experience creating test cases and procedures
  • Experience with automated testing, automated test tools, developing and executing test scripts to perform system testing, and analyzing results
  • Ability to test multiple lab environments following formal testing methods and manage discrepancy reports identified during testing
  • Ability to perform system testing in support of various developmental efforts
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
