This position is a dual-hatted role that reports directly to the PM or a designee. The role provides remote and on-site support in the set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of both Tactical Radio (TACRAD) and Terrestrial High-Capacity Communications (THC2) systems. These support efforts are provided to the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) while deployed, in garrison, in preparation for, and while participating in major exercises and contingency operations in CONUS and OCONUS. The incumbent will work cross-functionally with several departments and those performing work at Government Customers’ sites. Travel is required at the Government Customer’s request, expected up to 25%. The role involves providing expertise on Tactical Radios (TACRAD) and offering on-site and global command, control, computer, communications, and intelligence (C4I) systems technical support to the operating forces of the United States Marine Corps, joint services, allied nations, and program offices to ensure effective use of C4I systems throughout the spectrum of military operations. This includes C4I systems expertise for troubleshooting, guidance, analysis of tactical communications systems, system set-up, maintenance, upgrades, and configuration management for fielded Marine Corps C4I systems. The position operates within a team environment of military, government civilians, and contractor personnel, utilizing technical expertise in various systems. The employee will be responsible for configuring, programming, operating, troubleshooting, and conducting fault isolation of specific radio systems, supporting THC2 Systems during test and evaluation, performing spectrum analysis, and interfacing with FMF and US Government personnel for break/fix support. Additionally, the role involves researching technical questions, identifying urgent situations, and training FMF personnel on TACRAD and THC2 systems.
