About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Table Games Shift Manager is to oversee the day-to-day operations of Table Games and team members of their assigned shift with specialized attention to engagement, guest service, protection of company assets, and ensuring staff duties are performed. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.

Requirements

  • Five to seven years' experience within the Slot, and or Table Games department or other gaming areas of a casino.
  • Must obtain/maintain a Colorado Division of Gaming Key License.
  • Office environment, casino environment, high rise hotel.
  • Exposed to bright lights and excessive noise levels.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requiring an irregular work schedule.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive office.
  • Communicate appropriately with all casino guests, casino departments and fellow team members.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate a proven track record of providing outstanding guest service.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Operational and administrative support of the Department Head including, but not limited to all following duties:
  • Management abilities demonstrated in managing the Table Games shift properly.
  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Adherence to state gaming regulations.
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of Table Games shift.
  • Supervise the Pencil, manage limits, watch high action, monitor TG Supervisors.
  • Manage Table Games direct reports.
  • Manage all Table Games related guest service issues.
  • Mentor all Table Games Supervisors to advance their leadership skills.
  • Ability to accommodate schedule changes determined by management.
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance according to schedule.
  • Participation in managing the departmental budget and goals.
  • Effective management of the staff.
  • Accuracy in completing all assigned duties, paperwork and reports.
  • This position requires a Key gaming license and will provide general shift support for the other departments as needed and the property as a whole.
  • Deals with the difficult circumstances that arise of the gaming floor in a constructive and business-like manner, balancing the interest of the customer, team member and company.

  • Responsible for the supervision and performance of the Slot Attendants and all Table Games personnel on designated shift.
  • Assist personnel as necessary, to ensure the successful performance of both the Slot department, Table Games department, and the Company overall.
  • Plans and approves employee scheduling to assure proper staffing to meet business demands on a shift basis
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal guests at all times.
  • Ensure safety and security of all guests and Team Members. Responsible for customer service, relations and disputes. Manages, processes and programs to effectively control and reduce loss time injuries.
  • Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted level of employment. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
  • Administer disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Review department's financial data.
  • Review Slot and Table Games activities and promotional status with Department Heads and Director of Gaming Operations.
  • Meet with Departmental Directors and Managers as necessary.
  • Coordinate with department leadership and compliance to develop, implement and manage processes and procedures to ensure full compliance at all times with Colorado Division of Gaming regulations and internal controls.
  • Maintains departmental procedures that will ensure proper protection of all gaming operations from loss due to mistake or theft.
  • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies.
  • Prepare/present various oral and written reports to the Department Heads and Director of Gaming Operations.
  • Reviews and approves employee performance appraisals and merit increases. Counsels, guides and instructs all assigned personnel in the performance of their duties.
  • Assists in hiring, promotion, demotion, discipline and termination of employees.
  • Proactively recognizes, rewards, and celebrates outstanding examples of employee performance to reinforce desired guest service, teamwork behaviors, and the sustainable competitive advantage it can provide.
  • Achieve performance goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
