About The Position

The Table Games Pit Manager will assist in managing gaming activity on a day-to-day basis to ensure the integrity of table games and poker room, as applicable. Will resolve issues and respond to guest concerns as they arise. Will assist other departments as a leader on the gaming floor when gaming or guest relation issues arise. Exercise good judgment in managing the operation of all games, within the limits of established policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent in experience of a minimum of 8 years Table Games experience, with a minimum of three (5) years of mid-level casino management (Table Games Supervisor or above).
  • Must have certification and/or experience in the following games: Craps, Blackjack, Roulette, Carnival Games, and others, as applicable.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Catawba Gaming License.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Public relations and customer service skills.
  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the staff, product, and equipment.
  • Timeliness and accuracy in performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
  • Ability to manage and resolve complex issues.
  • Can be a high stress environment.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures.
  • Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule in an interruptive environment.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data, casino/slot policies and promotions.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed including but not limited to nights, holidays, weekends, extended hours.
  • Ability to work in a loud fast-paced environment (may occasionally be exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke).
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms;
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movement;
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach or kneel.
  • Ability to talk, hear, and see.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast past environment.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Table games start up and/or dealer school training experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance with Catawba Nation Gaming Commission regulations, casino policies, internal controls, standard operating procedures and conducts all games in accordance with aforementioned regulations, policies, and controls.
  • Assists with training and supervision of all Table Games personnel.
  • Responsible for distribution, collection, inspection of, and inventory of cards, dice, and other table games equipment.
  • Responsible for all table games operations on their assigned shift and relaying any pertinent information to the other shifts.
  • Knowledge of gaming and alcohol beverage control regulations and company internal policies and procedures
  • Always promotes positive public/employee relations.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Assists in company functions.
  • Preform other duties as assigned
